Giving to the Library
Ecorse Public Library is here to offer services and resources to you during every chapter of your life. Donations from individuals like you help us continue our good work now and in the future. Our primary source of income is through a voter-approved millage. Additional income is received through, among other things, state aid to public libraries from the Library of Michigan, penal fines, library fees and undesignated gifts. These revenue sources are the basis for basic library services. The Library Board also recognizes the importance of planned gifts and endowments in enhancing the Library’s programs, facilities, and collections.
Memorial Donations for Books
Memorial donations are an especially gracious way to recognize both the donor and the honoree. Library staff will select a suitable book and a bookplate, with the name of the person honored and the name of the donor, will be placed in each book.
Used Book Donations
Used books that are clean and in good condition may be donated to the library any time the library is open. Book donations are appreciated and will used for used book sales
