Ecorse Public Library’s purpose is to serve the residents of Ecorse by providing information, ideas, entertainment, and access.
We believe that a free and accessible public library is essential for the public good of the city of Ecorse. All Ecorse Public Library users have the right to a high quality of public library service, commensurate with the needs of the community and resources available. All library users, regardless of age, race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, or sexuality, have the right to privacy, confidentiality, intellectual freedom, and access to diverse and representative materials. All library users have the right to respect and safety within the library. The Ecorse Public Library Staff and Board of Trustees will exercise responsibility in their stewardship and support of the library’s mission.
